This is the 57” Diagonal REGZA Cinema Series LCD TV from Toshiba, a full HDTV 1080p display for a maximum image quality, with ClearFrame 120Hz Anti-Blur technology that eliminates motion blur virtually, but doesn’t decrease the brightness nor adds flicker.
Even in motion the images still look crisp and clear, while the frame rate is practically doubled, compared with the non-full HD screens.
The technique is called Motion Vector Frame Interpolation and together with the PixelPure processor, new frames are creates and inserted between the original ones.
The ColorBurst wide color gamut LCD is expanding the available colors amount improving their accuracy.
This screen type works based on the CCFL backlight technology and uses it to expand the 72% color range of NTSC color gamut to 90%+, this leading to improved color purity and saturation.
With PixelPure 3G 14-bit internal digital video processing which means 333Mhz speed, the display is capable of producing 4,096 levels of degradation, meaning 16 times greater than an 8-bit processor, this creating smooth and natural images with no banding.
This technology is in charge with incoming video signal monitoring so that the multiple picture quality parameters are adjusted, this including real speed progressive scanning, dynamic gamma and dynamic backlight control.
The MPEG noise is significantly reduced.
Another technology used for the REGZA models is CineSpeed, and these LCD panels have 8ms response time which is very important while watching intensive action movies.
