Bang & Olufsen announced the Beovision 4 home cinema concept featuring full HD on a large 50- or 65-inch plasma screen that displays the sharpest images and richest colors thanks to the Automatic Colour Management technology which controls and adjusts brightness, contrast, colour, sharpness and white point of the image even in low-light conditions.
Featuring the BeoLab 10 dedicated centre speaker the home cinema model delivers an impressive surround sound matching the high image quality and the exterior design consisting of brushed aluminum with smooth texture.
The sound is enhanced by the Acoustic Lens Technology that spreads the sound from the centre channel 180 degrees on horizontal, while controlling the vertical dispersion, minimizing this way the detrimental early reflections from the floor and ceiling.
According to the latest press release from Bang & Olufsen, BeoVision 4 is equipped with a short robotic arm with a built-in camera which swings down from behind the aluminum frame to measure a test picture displayed on the screen, and it does this after 100 hours by default.
This way it analyzes the color temperature and adjusts it to reach the perfect color reproduction after thousands of hours of use.
"Bang & Olufsen has a long and proud tradition of adding a touch of magic to its products,” says Senior R&D Manager Torben Dalgaard. “With Automatic Colour Management, we have taken the bold step of integrating future picture quality improvement into the product itself, and presenting this revolutionary technology directly to the BeoVision 4 user. This is something that has never been done before, and it clearly adds another level of excellence and ease of use to the product."
