I love Sony for all they have done so far, but most of all, for the Trinitron technology. I had 2 monitors using Trinitron tubes, and I loved them. Anyway, this is not about me, and despite the fact it’s about Sony, it’s not about their Trinitron technology either. To make a long story short, I will say only this: Sony is now Number One!!

According to a study coming from the research group DisplaySearch, during the last quarter of 2007, Sony was the top seller of LCD HDTVs in North America! This is even more impressive, if we consider the fact that, in the third quarter, Sony didn’t even catch the podium, arriving in the fourth position. Now, they got the first place, followed by Samsung, the previous market leader, and Vizio.
At last, when talking about Plasma HDTVs, it’s no surprise finding Panasonic on the first position, with a market share almost double as its follower, Samsung, which only got a bit over 20 percent of the Plasma HDTV market.
If you want more than just a TV, as well as more than just a PC, you can combine them both by grabbing an excellent luxury device handmade in Asheville, the Q42 HD-PCTV from Lumenlab. While the picture below, the only one available on the official site, doesn’t show much, there are plenty of technical details available, and they look quite impressive…

In the last month, Samsung came up with a lot of interesting products, and it seems they didn’t get tired of releasing LCD TVs or LCD monitors yet… Anyway, having a range of products as wide as possible available at any given time is the right thing to do, so Samsung just announced the release of a band new full HD LCD TV…

To be honest, I am not crazy about television, but I love to discover new TV sets, LCD TVs, and so on. Anyway, it’s interesting to see how some people get to own at least one TV for each family member, and also watch TV on the road, in a plane, sometimes even in the bathroom! Sounds crazy enough? Well, here’s something interesting for those that can’t go to the bathrrom without watching TV - Aquavision just announced a full HD TV for your bathroom, having a screen size of 57 inches!

Before I get to the subject, I want to refresh your memory a bit, so be patient! Sharp is the company that presented at CES 2007 the world’s largest LCD TV of that time, a 108-inch model having 2.386X1.344m, while their Aquos line of LCD TVs starts with small portable ones (for example, the 13-inch B series) and goes up to an impressive 65-inch screen size, encountered in various HD widescreen models. Yesterday, the Aquos series got 21 new members!
