Working with computers is something that everyone needs to do nowadays. This is because their use has become essential in many domains in the idea of good results being established in all sorts of activities. There are many activities which are made better and faster with the help of computers which in this way enable its users to be more productive in these activities without having to spend too much time in finalizing them.

Computer monitors are also very important for users to pay attention to in the world of technology in which we live, as they widely influence the performance of our computers an can prove to be very helpful for us in improving this performance and the results that we can obtain by working with our PCs. When discussing about computer monitor screens there are certain characteristics which need to be analyzed as they are very important in determining the quality of these computer hardware components.

In a discussion on computer monitor screens, there are many features and aspects which are important to be analyzed in relation to them in order for us to analyze what can make a computer display well performing or which values of such features might decrease their performance. One example of such features is represented by the aspect ratio which characterizes each type and model of computer monitor screens. The aspect ratio presents the ratio being established between the horizontal and the vertical dimensions of these screens. There are many aspects ratios which can characterize a computer display but from these more common are known to be the 4:3 and the 5:4 aspect ratios.

When analyzing the aspect ratio of computer monitor screens it is also important to be mentioned the fact that screen resolutions are also known to present aspect ratios which are different from the monitor aspect ratios. In this respect, users should also know that they are given the opportunity to choose for their monitors different types of screen resolution settings which enables them to decide the way in which their images might be displayed in different situations and also the opportunity of establishing the best resolution for their monitors so that the results being displayed on their screens might be the best ones. Such settings can be established by users from the Settings tab.

Such resolutions are measured in pixels. Users need to become aware of the way in which resolutions are related to aspect ratios. One example from which this aspect can be made noticeable is represented by a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, which is known to present an aspect ratio of 4:3. Users need to try various settings before discovering the one which might be best suited for their monitors so that the images being displayed in their computer monitor screens might be of a very good quality.

When discussing about the difference between the aspect ratios characterizing a certain screen resolution and the aspect ratio of the monitor it is important for users to be made aware of the fact that while the first type can be changed by users while the second one is established by the manufacturer of that computer monitor and remains unchanged. This is the main difference between the two types of aspect ratios. These are only some of the features and specifications which users will have to take in account when analyzing various models of computers monitor screens as they are very important in determining their quality.
