NEC LCD Technology has come at SID 2008 with its latest technologies among which it presented the heart display modules, based on low-temperature polysilicon color TFT LCD technology.
The prototype is a flexible display that uses 2 half-circular arcs and two straight lines, with a width of 4 cm, height of 3.6 cm, and 146 pixels per inch pixel pitch, allowing for a 2 mm bezel.
This type of non-rectangular LCD has applicability in car’s speedometers and tachometers.
