JVC at Japan Design 2008

During 16-20 April, at Fondamenta Jahier Via Solari 37-39 in Milan, Italy, will take place the Japan Design 2008 exhibition hosted by 15 Japanese companies which focus on design innovation.
JVC’s LT-42DS9 LCD display concept is not only a television but it uses special technologies such as mechatronics, high-quality audio and video, high efficient encoding, as well as high-density recording and playback, to create the right sound environment capable of bringing the viewer into the realism of the video experience.

It is a slim device at only 74 mm, conceived by Airy Design and JVC with a floating image-like effect, touch-sensitive buttons, and thin glossy bezel.
Features include DynaPixHD video processor, full HD, 7,500:1 dynamic contrast ratio, DVB-T-Tuner, 500 cd/m2 brightness, and 178/178 degree viewing angle.
It measures 981 x 627 x 74 mm at a weight of 19.5 kg.

The AV Furniture Prototype is an accessory created for the JVC’s slim TV concept, designed to look stylish, and made of a special metallic frame that gives the impression of a floating TV.
The user can swivel to the desired viewing angle and place additional audio equipment in the box.

JVC removed the window on the rack door used for checking equipment operation and replaced it with a separate high-sensitivity infrared receptor mounted on the flap door of the rack which transmits remote control signals to stored equipment.
