Lcd Monitors

You have many options if you intend to choose a computer monitor, and there are many things that you need to take in consideration prior to making the choice. You can choose the monitor depending on the design, on the color, on the graphics clarity, and so on. There are also three different types of computer monitors to choose from, these being the CRT, the LCD, and the plasma monitors. In my opini

You should know that the cathode-ray monitors, or the CRT monitors, are the least expensive out of this three, so I did not choose the LCD monitors as being the best because of the price. One of the most important characteristics of the LCD monitors is the fact that they weigh less than the CRT ones and that they occupy less space than them as well. The CRT monitors are big and bulky and the truth is that they are very difficult to move around and finding a proper space for them on the desk can be pretty difficult. This problem is inexistent in the case of the LCD monitors, as they can easily be transported and placed on the desk.

Another important aspect of the LCD monitors is the fact that the viewing area of the LCD monitors is much bigger than the one of the CRT monitors. A 12 inch liquid crystal display monitor will be able to provide the same viewing area as a 14 inch CRT monitor. The LCD monitors are better to use because they do not represent a danger threat such as the CRT monitors. I am not saying that sitting in front of the CRT monitors will instantly result in damage to the user, but the fact is that the CRT monitors represent a danger to the eyes. The image quality of the LCD monitors is superior to the one of the CRT monitors, and that thing is clearly noticeable.

The color quality is superior as well, because the capabilities of the LCD monitors are better when it comes to colors than in the case of the CRT monitors, and the same goes with the resolution. Another important aspect of the LCD monitors is the fact that they use far less electricity than the CRT monitors and thanks to that they are more energy-efficient. Most of the LCD screens have the Energy Star rating, which is allowed to the electrical devices which are “green”, meaning that they do not cause damage to the environment. The LCD monitors consume about 30% less energy than the CRT monitors. This is why the LCD monitors are better.

I would agree that while LCD monitors may not be the cheapest monitor you can purchase but they are the best option as far as picture quality, weight, resolution and energy efficiency. I work with Sharp and would definitely recommend their line of LCD monitors as they use an advanced fan-less architecture, operate silently and have superiors image quality.
