Yesterday, when I wrote about Samsung the last time, , I wasn't expecting to hear about new products from them so early, but...since I only found out today about this amazing product, what can I do? They didn't come up with simply some new "regular" LCD monitors or LCD TVs, but with a LCD monitor that uses a completely new concept, as you can see in the image below! Looks pretty interesting, don't you think?
Samsung SyncMaster 2263DX

Now, what's with the 2-in-1 monitor above? Well, that one is the new SyncMaster 2263DX, a 22-inch LCD that also has a 7-inch LCD display connected to it, featuring a 2.0MP webcam, dual-array microphone and speaker, as well. I must admit they didn't announce it today, but a few weeks ago, at CES 2008, but that doesn't make the 2263DX less attractive.

To be honest, I can't imagine someone extending their desktop to the 7-inch monitor and use it to watch movies, but this may come in handy for people that need to use a Calculator program often, while editing a Word document, for example, or need to keep their eyes on certain values all the time, such as stock market fluctuations.

According to the official press release, "The SyncMaster 2263DX monitor is currently available for an MSRP of $549.99 at a variety of retail outlets and through Samsung resellers and distribution channels, which can be located by calling 1-800-SAMSUNG or by visiting www.samsung.com.", so if you think your "normal" display is not enough, but don't have enough room for two full-size LCD monitors, you should think seriously about Samsung's product I told you about today...
