Sony PlayTV to be Released in Europe

The Sony PlayTV is an entertainment device on which you can watch and rcord digital TV while connected to PS3, and it will be released in European countries in the next months.

The price was not yet announced but from Sony’s published information we know that the PlayTV has a Remote Play on PlayStation Portable that allows you to record entire TV series with the touch f a button, and with the PSP connectivity you can set recordings wirelessly or transfer your videos to the console using the US connectivity.

David Reeves, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe declared that "The introduction of PlayTV really will extend the already broad entertainment credentials of PS3.”
“PS3 already provides High Definition gaming, Blu-ray Disc movies, music, video, photo album, web browsing and PLAYSTATION Network support. With the introduction of PlayTV's state of the art TV tuner, PS3 is now the best choice of home entertainment hub for the whole family."

The Sony PlayTV provides also two HD-ready TV tuners, the Electronic Programe Guide, and the capability of recording and streaming over the WWW to a PSP through a Wi-Fi hotspot in any place.
