The Nanovision Mimo Monitor, Sexier Than Ever!

Some people are crazy about cars, and I must confess I am not one of the automobile-haters, either, but when it comes to accessories, I think everything should have a limit. After all, a car is that thing that takes you from point A to B, and not a multimedia center on wheels. That's what I think, but it seems the truth is out there...and quite different!

To me, a high-end PMP with a generous screen or even a netbook should be enough to have in the car, but what about the Nanovision MiMo Slim? This is a pretty sexy gadget for your car, and provides an excellent design, as you can see above, while the single USB cable used to connect it will make the messy wiring just a bad memory. Even more, you can easily disconnect it and take it home to be your secodnary monitor.

Here's the specifications list to help you decide:

Screen Size (diagonal)    7 inch
Aspect Ratio    16:9
Resolution (pixels)    800x480
Colour Configuration    RGB stripe
Backlight    LED
Video Inputs    USB 2.0
Mount Type    Desktop and dashboard (closeable lid)
Power Input     UBB DC 5V 500mA

The touchscreen display will keep you occupied while going off the road, while the horizontal/vertical mode will allow the monitor to swivel by itself as you hit some tree at 60mph. Heh, just kidding about the accident, but those features are there, so it's up to you to use them the right way!

I don't have a car, but that doesn't really matter, because I think the Nanovision MiMo Slim is so sexy, I'll get one regardless of that. After all, why not use it as a secondary display for my messaging tasks? Of course, messaging won't be the end of it, but only the beginning! ;)
